Old Southern BBQ - Arden Hills (694 & Lexington)

Quick friendly service. Delicious, flavorful tender. Decent prices. Loved the Build-Your-Own Bowl. I thought the portions were good for BBQ.

We actually try to visit this five star BBQ once a week. When you walk through the front door and the smell hits you, you just know right away.
The sauces are wonderful, there is something for everyone. The Chicago blue topped with a little bit of ruby red is the best. The Jimmy beans side is unbelievable

Such a great location. I go here with my family all the time, and we get a HUGE platter for a great deal! The corn muffins are the best, as well. Highly recommended!

Not bad. Not great. Brisket needed more flavor, but was cooked well. Had their tangy coleslaw which also lacked flavor. They do have a good selection of sauces which are much needed on the bland meat.
Restraunt was clean and service was good.
Overall it feels like a famous Dave's copy that is not nearly as good.

A mix of really good and nothing spectacular. Same for their sauces - some are REALLY good - Diablo, Chicago Blue ????- some were so so. A preference thing, I suppose. Portions maybe seemed a little small but overall, with our order of the Memphis Platter and pulled pork sandwich, meat flavour was excellent. Their cornbread "muffin tops" were also top notch. I'd love to order one massive meal of nothing but the cornbread. And the mac & cheese had some of the best flavour of any I've ordered from a restaurant.
