We were looking for a local place to watch the gophers game and I’m glad we stopped at The Exchange. There is definitely something to say about a restaurant that makes most of their food from scratch. It took us a long time to decide what to eat because everything sounded so delicious! The food was good and we definitely will stop by again. The only thing I recommend is to tell the server how you want your burger cooked.
Tried this spot already with a friend and I am hooked since then. I loved the fantastic character and fresh food and drinks. Keep it up.
Friendly, attentive staff at this local bar, restaurant. Includes a party room and oversized patio for special events and warm days. Typical burger, pizza, sandwich, salad, appetizer menu.
The Exchange has good food and good service! Their specials are usually very good and provide a nice change from the normal menu (which is also very good). They have a solid beer list as well. They have a decent patio, although it is very loud as it is on a 4 way stop and there are a lot of semi trucks that go through the area.
We've gotten takeout burgers a couple times and they've been really good. Today we went for breakfast and it was excellent. They don't have many options, but any time I see house made hash on the list, I have to try it. This corned beef was amazing. Smoked, tender, and a generous amount of it (where so many places skimp and fill your hash with a ton of peppers, onions, and sometimes other fillers). Really, really good. And our server was lovely, cheerful, and attentive. This isn't a "suburban good" restaurant ... It can hang with anyone in town, which is saying something in the Twin Cities.
