Joan's in the Park

Nice fine dining restaurant. Small, intimate dining room with a little view of the kitchen and a nice bar. Service was friendly and attentive. Food looked the part and it was well executed. Owner came around on multiple occasions to ask that everything was right. Felt that the price was fair for the fixed-price menu - and it was pretty creative too.

Joan's in the Park was a wonderful place to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary! The menu offered a tempting array of different dishes, all of which were beautiful and delicious. The service was timed very well and all of the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning.

You can order a la carte but it really doesn't make sense to do so. Every plate that came out was beautiful. Fresh silverware was presented for every course. Flavors were fresh and on point. The staff was friendly, helpful, funny, and courteous. With four courses I felt neither stuffed nor still hungry (as one often does a fancy French restaurants)

This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner and were able to nab a table on the patio. The patio was super cute and nicely shaded, definitely try to get a spot out there if weather permits. We booked a reservation on the recommendation of several friends, and we were not disappointed. Our server was great with explaining the dishes and giving recommendations. Each dish that came out was AMAZING. Beautifully presented, and every bite was full of amazing flavor and interesting combinations. The portions for the first few courses may look small, but everything together was the perfect amount of food. Joan herself was seating people throughout the night and she was so lovely. When we were walking out, we thanked her, and through chatting she found out it was our anniversary. She invited us to go back to our table so they could bring something out to help us celebrate and they took our picture and sent us home with a picture. It was such an amazing experience and we will definitely be back.

Wow...best dining experience in years! Matt was our waiter and we asked him to pair wines for our 4 courses plus dessert. He was thoughtful and explained why he chose each of the wines. It was so fun!! Sue the chef and owner took the time to bring the bread out to us and say hello and welcomed us to “Joan’s” . It was such a treat. The food was excellent and the flavors were out of this world. We will definitely go there again when in St Paul!
