Rose Street Cafe is rapidly becoming my new favorite breakfast spot in St. Paul. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is excellent. In addition to the brioche French toast, check out their omelet. They also offer a number of can’t-miss pastries.

It is a casual place; you order at a counter and your food is brought to your table. The bread here is delicious. The French toast is made from a thick slice of brioche and it was the best French toast I've ever eaten.

I just visited the new location today and had a great experience. The space is cozy with a few small and large tables for any size party. Service was quick and very friendly - they even came back to the table to offer to add more hot water to my tea! If you like the other location, you'll love this one too!

Better to go on the weekday if you're a local to avoid the suburban migration, the service/accuracy is a bit better. It is worth checking out though and the food is excellent. It is a tad bit on the pricey side though, especially for the neighborhood, thus won't make me a regular when there are a bunch of other great places within walking distance a better price point.
