Great tasting food. Prompt and friendly staff. Relaxed, fun atmosphere. I come here regularly and couldn't recommend it more!
The sandwiches were awesome! We went because my dad recommended it, he was not wrong! Service was top notch and food was delicious
We had a large group and our server did a great job. Kitchen got our food out in a timely manner. Meat was tender and smelled smoky, but had little smoke flavor or seasoning at all. Three bbq sauces were offered one of which was store bought and the other two were not very impressive. Corn bread was dry. Bartender was slow. My understanding is that they recently opened so hopefully they are working out the details. Better ventilation is needed. Air is thick and smoky and warm.
JD was super helpful. We wanted a sampler platter and JD suggested, made one up special for us. JD was very genuine/courteous. We felt very welcome. The Texas cut brisket was fantastic. Ribs great! Chicken awesome. Sausage, what more can I say. The baked beans had a totally unique flavor. The BBQ sauces were so good too. What a great meal and a great value. Go there! Soon!
Just went here for the first time. I thought the food was very good, and their house sauce was better than anything I tried at mystic lake's ribfest, and I'll definitely be back... but there were hardly any customers, so I have some recommendations for them. Having the paper under the food is typically a good idea with something you'll eat with your hands... but when I have to cut into your brisket, the paper is getting in the way. Also, the ribs are very good, but they could be great. I highly suggest getting a grill, even if it's just a charcoal grill out back, and putting the ribs on it and brushing on some of that delicious house sauce... or whatever people would prefer. You definitely want that char on the ribs... it's really the trick to putting them over the top. Good luck! I hope you guys succeed!
