It was all just aight. I had the spring rolls and the egg roll vermicelli salad. They were fine but missing necessary elements for me to consider it "good" Vietnamese food.
I ordered pho dav biet and they're so generous with the noodles AND the meat! The tendons were so soft that it just simply melted in my mouth with the beef. Very filling meal. The servers were kind.
As a St. Paulite who loves Vietnamese food, I need to start reckoning with the fact that there are now Vietnamese restaurants in the suburbs that are as good as those in the two Twins. I don’t get south of the Metro very often, but I stopped here today after running an errand in Burnsville. I was hungry and checked Google Maps for Vietnamese restaurants in the area. This one came out with top ratings, so I stopped by.
This is a nice, clean restaurant! The employee working the front was very nice. The menu is small and solidly Vietnamese – you won’t find any Chinese/Thai fusion items on the menu. Just pho, bun, and rice plates. So, you know where the focus is.
I got a noodle salad with egg rolls and grilled shrimp. It was DELICIOUS. The ingredients were super fresh, and the portion size was quite large; if I weren’t so hungry, I don’t think I could’ve finished it. I really wanted to try the pho because it was so cold and rainy, but winter is coming, and I definitely plan to stop back here, even if I don’t have any errands in the area and live over 20 miles away.
If you love Vietnamese food, you will love the delicious simplicity of this place!
Not bad for South side of town. Feel a bit more like the quality that you would get from Minneapolis.
This place is heavy fire. I always get the pho. All the ingredients were incredibly fresh, bright green basil, clean sprouts, fresh juicy limes, the noodles had that perfect tender feel, the BROTH! So flavorful. The meat was fall apart good. I hope this place stays open and fresh for many years to come.
