Some of the best chow you will find in Sherburne County... Unfortunately, my experience is similar to a lot of other reviews. Bring some ear plugs, have a lot of patience with the wait staff and enjoy the food when it finally shows up!
Still a nice place but the customer service lacked personality.
I ordered the red beans and rice, as my side dish, as this is a unique offering to the area. The dish came with french fries. Our server said that the cook had substituted the fries because they were out of red beans and rice. If I had wanted something else instead, that would be ok.
WHAT??? No apathy. No apology.
In the past the owners were there, talking to guests. I really enjoyed the interaction. With a theme of Asian/Jamaican/American on one menu, I expect more than was provided by the disinterested server and the bandana wearing bartender.
Didn't know what to expect because of the description of the restaurant. It seemed weird to do Jamaican, Asian and American. We were pleasantly surprised! Food was fresh and homemade, with a very friendly atmosphere. I will be back to try the oxtail. This place is worth a stop as it's not just your average boxed bar food. Rasta pasta was excellent.
The Hideout has a great variety of burgers and several Jamaican dishes. The burgers are good and the onion rings are huge! The appetizers are very good and I suggest the egg roll and the cream cheese rolls. I have had a shrimp dish with rice and was very happy with it too. It is tucked back behind an auto repair shop, and you can see it from highway 10. Worth a stop for apps and beers at the very least.
