Possibly the best dining experience I've had in Duluth. Decent views of Lake Superior, but the interior of the restaurant seems to be from another, almost medieval, time - possible the greatest 'vibe' I've ever felt in a restaurant.

I had the sauteed Walleye, which was extraordinary (and a method of Walleye preparation I have never before experienced). Prices were spot on, and the servings were fair for the price - I left feeling perfectly fed. Service was great and friendly.

Pickwick is an iconic place with a story. Built in 1914, it has served its guests for over 105 years. The electrical conduits tell if a time before electricity was used as the main source of lighting while the giant fireplaces confirm that heat came mostly by burning the renewable resource of wood. The tables are all of the older wood variety with matching chairs.

When people think of Pickwick, they think "high priced" when in fact their prices are not much different from the other area restaurants. Their lunch menu consists of hamburgers, salads, lake trout (which I had), and a nice variety of other northern Minnesota delicacies. Their dinner menu is out of this world with some of the best steak choices in Minnesota.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday. The private room were had was perfectly decorated for the fall season and the tables set for a fine dining experience. Our private waitress was ready to do tasks she wasn't even familiar with such as cutting a birthday cake with fondant icing. It's not as easy as it sounds! But it was well worth the wait.

The staff were excellent! Very professional and attuned to their guests needs.

Great place to meet friends and family for lunch! The Superior Street Dip was flavorful, both dipped and not. Fries were hot and crispy! The service was great! The question to ask you server, why is a sandwich called Joe's Half & Half?

I like the bar more than the dining room, but it's all quite good. The bartenders are exceedingly good and matched by great service on the floor. Salads and apps are especially good.

Had the pleasure of meeting an owner at the end of the bar one evening, and the vibe I got matched the laid back but highly attentive attitude of the establishment.

Dined at Pickwick on a Friday evening. We were able to get a booth after only a few minutes wait. The service is exceptional. Ordered the lake trout which was tender and perfectly prepared, and the beet and tenderloin salad which was beautiful and so tasty. Both were a huge amount of food, so, while the prices are not low you should come hungry because the portions are huge.
I believe this is the best restaurant in the Duluth area. You will not be disappointed with Pickwick.
