Grandma's Saloon & Grill Virginia

The food was amazing! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to sit down for my meal, but everything was delicious. I ordered several items. The walleye was the best I've had in a long time. The dill bites were new for me, but they were amazing! The staff was extremely friendly, and did an amazing job. It was packed. I don't know what the employees make, but the whole place deserves a raise. At the least, a considerable holiday bonus, and recognition for their great work. I can't wait to go back, and try some more.

Grandma's was always a go-to for my family, but as of the past few visits, it's lost it's appeal. Prices have gotten steeper and quality has fallen down. My husband and I just had dinner here; he had the Tricycle Burger, which is always good. He says the fries were subpar, tasted like freezer fries. He also ordered a Vanilla Milkshake which he says lacked flavor and was definitely not worth the price. I had the Beef Kabob, which was alright. Just one stick of beef chunks with a couple pieces of bitter, undercooked pepper. Also two chunks of onion, which were the best part. I had a side salad...which was sad. Limp iceberg lettuce with tidbits of cucumber, tomato and carrot.

Found this place by a recommendation. It was worth it. Good food, good service, good atmosphere and they sell chocolates.

Tried the turkey on cranberry and wild rice bread. It was worth the drive.

The shore lunch walleye dinner was one of the best I have had!! And I eat alot of walleye! I like the old style advertising in the restaurant.
