Hillcrest Family Restaurant

This spot is the one I always prefer. I visit many restaurants but to this place I go the most. The stuff is very cordial and the food they serve is so tasty. I would always prefer to have a decent dinner in this place. Highly recommended.

I've driven by here, who knows how many times when traveling I94, but decided to give it a try today. The Chicken Skillet, a breakfast dish served all day, was very tasty. I also had to try the Pumpkin Pie. So delicious and the crust was perfect. The girl working was very nice also. I read some of the other reviews of the place, and it is hard for me to picture the negative ones being an honest review. Besides, who would ever really ask for a steak to be medium-well or well???????? Are you kidding me? If you want it cooked that far through...... order a hamburger!

The place is very cozy with excellent home style comfort food like chicken and dumpling soup. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Food was pretty good. Dinner entrees are pretty big and you get the salad bar and soup. They had homemade chicken dumpling (I had this, just needed a little salt and pepper) and a beef tortellini. The section of things on the salad bar are good enough to make a tasty salad.
Had the country fried steak. Decent cut off meat, no gristle, good breading, but the gravy was a little bland. Just as some salt and pepper. And they have us a boat load of fries with our meals.
Restaurant itself was pretty clean, didn't visit the bathroom. The staff was very nice. Good dinner visit.

Very good food. Salad bar fresh. Bacon cheese burger comes lettuce,tomato and onion. Waitress very helpful.
