The food was amazing! We stopped in for a quick snack before a wedding. The bartender suggested the Duck Wontons with a berry habenero sauce which were delicious! We were there mid afternoon so not busy and service was fast.
Great food for a decent price. I tried the bacon curd burger, and it was amazing! A perfect mix of burger, bacon, and Wisconsin cheese curds. Wait staff was also super friendly. I will definitely come back in the future!
The restaurant was clean. We ate outside on a beautiful sunny day, and it took us a bit to find a table with a working umbrella. Our waitress was quick to take our order but seemed to be scarce since she was the only one working both inside and out (so, no fault of hers). The food was very good and the drinks were cold -- always a good combination. When in the area, I'd definitely stop by again.
I’ve lived in the area my entire life and have seen many iterations of different restaurants at this spot. Sadly, nothing is ever really done to this pinnacle downtown location… so much promise.
The block retaining wall out front has been crumbling for years. The inside just looks like a dumpy old bar. Fresh coat of paint sometimes. The “sky light” are now just old yellowing panels that you can’t even look out of anymore.
We went with a big group (around 12). Some of us played a few games while we waited for our food. The paddles on the air hockey were falling apart, buttons on the pinball were sticky to the touch, and the screen on Golden Tee was in bad shape with lines all across it. I didn’t use the bathrooms during my visit, but the ladies that did said they were… not good…
That said, pretty much everyone seemed to really enjoy their food. Although mine was — not good. Got the buffalo chx wrap. It should have been called a blue cheese and lettuce wrap with a ‘hint of chicken’. The wrap was huge, but had only 4 bites with of chicken. I’ve literally never seen that much filling other than the primary thing that was ordered—aka buffalo chicken. It was just… not good. 90% of it went to waste.
The wings look -really- good. If I ever go back, I’ll likely get them.
