First time, here. To test the place, we (4) ordered different entrees. Ribs, chicken, fish, and burger were all great. Not one complaint. Cheese curds and onion rings were also excellent.
Great chicken! Don't be fooled by the exterior... this place is a hidden gem. Simple food well prepared, low prices, fast service, family friendly.
Thank you Everyone at Blacksmith for a great time last night. 2 tuesday fish fry dinners and a half chicken. 3 of us. Fish has to be the best fish fry I've been to!!! Chicken was awesome!! Very friendly personable hostess sat us right away, wait staff was great. Prompt and friendly. I'm bummed out I haven't been able to get here since may, and especially that I haven't been able to get to the fish fry all summer and fall!!
I pulled up your website and looked at reviews. Hundreds if not more positive reviews which I expected from past visits. Then there were just a couple of less than positive reviews which really rubbed me the wrong way. I suppose everyone can have an off day, but I travel for a living, and eat at different restaurants all over the country. I've been to restaurants that would fit the worst reviews that the 2 or 3 folks on here had written, basically dog food in a snotty restaurant and a way over priced tab. But at the Blacksmith, there's great food and great service!!!
We love the Blacksmith!!!!
What a wonderful nostalgic dining experience! Even though this place was packed (theres a good reason why) it was down to earth, very personal and the staff was absolutely wonderful. The reason why I'm guessing it was so packed (very small place but people didn't seem to care) the chicken was out of this world! Thank you! Yum!
Awesome food! They haven't changed their menu in 20 years, so they have perfected everything on it! Very friendly staff. Interesting decor. The Blacksmith hosts outdoor events on a regular basis (car shows, swap meets, etc.) My friends and I have had dinner here (almost) every Tuesday for the last seven years.
