Found out about this place a few weeks back while searching for restaurants that serve poutine in the Twin Cities. Then in typical Baader–Meinhof phenomenon fashion, started seeing posts about them in various online groups: The bar-food universe was telling me to drop in and give them a try and I'm very glad I did. Ordered takeout this time around; it was ready extremely quick--10 minutes! Tried their burger of the week which was a triple-patty behemoth with grilled onions & delicious pickles, the whole thing smothered with cheese & drizzled with a horseradish-based house sauce. It was a dripping mess and I loved every savory bite. Also got an order of their MN Poutine which is basically poutine where the gravy has been swapped out for chicken wild rice soup. It reminded me a lot of tater tot hotdish with a twist; really good stuff. Extremely happy to have them so close to home and I look forward to exploring further down the menu in the very near future!
This is a hidden gem in a small town.. Absolutely amazing food. Minnesota poutine is a MUST have. Prices are reasonable portions are generous. Can sit inside or out on a new patio.
It's not far off the highway - easy to get to.
The food is surprisingly good for being at a Legion post. There are hot and spicy options we enjoyed, like the Jalapeno Business burger and the Tennessee Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich. Beer specials are very affordable as well.
Great food and incredible service. We had the Minnesota Poutine and the Fried Chicken Sandwich both of them were scrumptious. We will be back again.
Chef Mik German has done an incredible job opening his new kitchen at the St Paul Park legion. The food is delicious and so are his seasonings!
