Very friendly people and exceptional service. This place had delicious extremely filling food for around $10 a plate. I was amazed at how much food they served. It is also homemade, which makes it taste super good. There is a convenient store and a more arts and crafts type store included in this place, too. Great experience!
Everyone I've seen that works here is super friendly and there is fresh cooked meals for people who don't have a lot of time. Really, really good restaurant.
Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was great at a fair price, and we especially liked the fish dinner. There was a gas station and a convenience store as well. The girl working at the convenience store was also very nice to us and made sure we got the promotional price.
Let me just start by saying, I would give this place six stars if I could!!!
Some of the bad reviews I have seen on here are due to the lack of cleanliness and casually (sometimes slowly) operated shop and restaurant. And to that I say, this place feels very lived in. If you're looking for a company-owned, modern rest stop, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a very homey, cozy, country style hole-in-the-wall stocked with trinkets, homemade salsas, and a very friendly staff please stop in!! You won't regret it.
I must add, the restaurant food is to die for! I ordered the country fried steak breakfast and I was nearly in tears. I honestly don't think I will ever be able to eat breakfast food ordered anyhere else, without reminiscing and longing for the quality of breakfast food this place offers. Everything was perfect. The eggs, the sausage patties, the toast, the hash browns, the country gravy and of course the chicken fried steak. I dare you to try it and tell me it wasn't the best breakfast you've ever eaten. I will be back again, again, and again.
