Miya Japanese bistro

The food is amazing! The staff is so friendly and attentive. We waited a bit for our food, but that was because the food is freshly made—and well worth the bit of wait!! The shrimp tempura is fabulous. We will return:).

I loved the atmosphere, it's bright and modern and cozy which is nice. All the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because it took an hour and 45 minutes to get my food for take out. Granted I went at the height of dinner rush. I'm sure they will get more staff in the future and I understand that they are still a new place. The portions were a little small for my liking and the sushi was fine. Overall not a bad experience at all, but I would go not at rush times.

Very friendly and clean. It was a long wait for the food, but the waitress always kept our drinks full and kept us up to date on what was happening. Being that it was opening week for them when we went, we didn’t mind waiting. We understand that any new restaurant needs to work out kinks. When we did get our food, it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious! I order the chicken and shrimp hibachi dinner. It was one of the best hibachis I have ever had. I can definitely see myself going again, since it is so conveniently placed downtown. Overall, wonderful experience!

They had perfect food and fantastic service under imperfect circumstances. The 5/5 rating is well deserved.

We had a bit of a wait for our food due to the restaurant having a flood of customers and only one waitress, but everything was organized well in spite of this and turned out great. The waitress was very kind, very up front about everything that was going on and very professional. That alone would be worth a good review, but the food puts it over the top.

I had the Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura and it was amazing. The batter wasn't super salty or oily and did great things to enhance the food, the sauce was delicious, and it let me focus on the merits of the individual food items, and wow did they have merits! The shrimp and vegetables (sweet potato, mushroom, asparagus and some huge slices of zucchini) were all perfectly cooked and delicious in their own regard. To be able to cook that at all, let alone with a full house, is impressive.
