Norm's Wayside

Really good place. Don't judge a book by its cover. Great pizza, Detroit style is legit. I wish they had a host/hostess. Pull tabs are fun, good drinks, and friendly wait staff. I have always had good service there. Give it a shot.

I've always loved Norm's pizza and cheesy bread. Appetizers that I've had I have also liked. This time I was there for lunch with a friend and had a burger. Delicious! However, my lower rating is because of the service. Our waitress acted like we were an inconvenience to her. She wasn't personable and after we got our food, she never returned to see how it was or check our beverages. When she did come back, she just asked if we wanted one or separate checks. That's it. No "How was everything? Can I get you anything else?" I've encountered poor service here before and the food is the only reason I would come back.

Have driven past several times and never had the time to stop. Until last weekend....

Wow what a mistake I had been making!! The pizza is amazing!! My wife and our guests were blown away. We had the meat lovers and a standard pepperoni and sausage on the Detroit crust. Oh My!!

Staff was attentive and very nice. Service was prompt. Definitely cool for the whole family.

Will be back. Often.

Food is ok. Very much a bar atmosphere. Bathrooms, at least the men's facilities, are not family friendly. Vernor's Ginger Ale is good if you're not getting anything alcoholic. Try the pizza if you bother coming. Don't take your kids.

Amazing deep dish pizza! I was hungry for a burger but the bartender recommended deep dish pizza... so happy he did. The pizza had a crispy outside, soft on the inside and ton of toppings. Would definitely recommend! The bar was busy... seemed like a pretty cool place to hang out.
