8 West Grille

8 West has finally caught its stride!
We’ve been to this new restaurant a few times with not-quite great experiences. The food has always been good, but the flow or server or something has always been off.
This time was totally different. The green tomatoes are great (we questioned ordering more for dessert)! And I know people come for the steak- and the steak is good, especially with the lobster sauce- but the club sandwich is killer. Best cold cut in town. The pastas are also something.
The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars are the drinks- they’re okay but could be better- and faster. I’ve never ordered a drink here without being disappointed but I always give it a shot. Not all martinis are dirty, etc. 5 star meals deserve 5 star drinks.
By far the best part of our recent visit was the server, Anna C. She was all smiles, kind, professional, and competent. A great and welcoming people person!

From the service, food, the inside of the building was great. It really made my girl's birthday we will be back once a month. The manager took our photos and our waitress Sam is the best.

Absolutely love this place!! I drive an hour about once a month just to come eat brunch here. The shrimp and grits, brunch burger, avocado toast, and crab cakes benedict are just a few items on their menu that are absolutely amazing. Along with brunch, they also serve lunch and dinner, both of which are so good, I failed to get pictures of them! The atmosphere is so welcoming as is the staff. I have never had a horrible experience and neither has anyone else I have spoken to that has traveled to this restaurant. The location, the view, the food are just a few reasons why this restaurant is one of my all-time favorites!
