Blu Jazz Cafe

First times are usually make or break for a restaurant for us. This first time is definitely a make. Excellent crab cakes and even better shrimp and grits(Gouda!!!!!). Bread pudding was also great. Our short list of favorites just grew by one.

We happened by this cafe on our way to the beach of course.. Michael was great! He is a very good server and a great asset to yalls team. We had the shrimp n grits, a large salad which I requested and Mike made it happen. We also had the chicken and waffles. Perfect temperature, flavors and textures on the food. I am very picky and I can say we will be back this fall when we come back through. 10/10

Seth was excellent. He managed all of the special orders and made some great recommendations. The egg whites were prepared to perfection. The catfish was light and crispy.

Fried green tomatoes & shrimp were delicious we have the vudu sauce on the side was too sweet for me. The taste of New Orleans was pretty good! The 5 layer chocolate cake was out of this world! Jack & coke was spot on!

Blu Jazz Cafe. has made my top 10 restaurants list, and I didn't even get to visit on the live music night. You're not just getting great food at Blu Jazz, you're getting an out-of-this-world experience. I visited with my daughter and dad. We arrived an hour before closing time, and the chef served as if we were the first patrons of the night. The concerted Creole and Jazz ambiance feels like a ride on the Riverboat Queen, right in Downtown Hattiesburg. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, a night out with colleagues and friends, or having a first date, Blu Jazz is the place to go. It's tasty, affordable, and conveniently located. I look forward to going back. Hopefully, the owners will consider a location in Alaska. :)
