    Great roadside takeout. Crispy cornmeal batter on the catfish.

    The fish was surprisingly big and very good. The grilled shrimp salad was really good too.

    I am fairly new to Hattiesburg and was given the opportunity to experience southern fried fish. As I took my first bite into the freshly cooked meal, I experienced a “Party” in my mouth. I am now a true fan of Magee’s .
