The White House Hotel

Great location, easy access to the beach, just what we needed coming from New Orleans on a one day trip. Wonderful dinner, bar, breakfast. Huge pool right in front and just cross the street for the beach! Check out the 3rd floor for wonderful view. Happiness!

In leaving reviews, it’s my aim to be honest on the pros and cons of my experience as I’m well aware that everyone has a different experience. So here’s mine…

Pros: Hotel is very nice in terms of landscaping, locations, decor, and on-site restaurant. The employees were very nice and attentive as well as responsive to concerns. The food in the restaurant was good.

Cons: The amenities are very subpar for the price. No refrigerator or microwave. Nothing fancy in the rooms. Cleanliness not what it should be for the price of rooms. We started in one room and had to be moved due to shower door not closing and USB port in room not working. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. Reactive instead of proactive in upkeep. Rooms are small for the price.

Overall, stay not the worst, certainly not the best in terms of bang for the buck. It’s one I can say I’ve experienced, but likely wouldn’t stay again.

I highly recommend staying at the White House Hotel for all of its beauty, rich history, charm, and unique character. It provided a beautiful setting for my dream wedding day.
The staff were amazing. Special thanks to Larry, the general manager, for making my dream day come true. He was a total delight to work with. Suite 314 has a great view of the pool and of the Gulf of Mexico.
