My mom and I were in the Mississippi area to see a casino show when we noticed a new hot pot spot had just opened nearby. I was even more surprised when I found out that it was part of the Tasty Pot franchise since they’re usually located more in highly Asian populated states like California & Texas. At first, our expectations weren’t really high since hot pot places in areas down here and in Louisiana are typically hit and miss, but after trying it out, we were highly satisfied with our dining experience here!

For starters, the service was really nice. Pretty friendly and not too pushy. The inside decor was clean and trendy as well. As for the actual hotpot, the quality is just like the ones we’ve tried in California & Texas! Portions were big, taste was really flavorful, & prices were reasonable. I got the Beef Hot Soup HP ($18.99) while my mom got the Thai Tom Yum HP ($21.99). Both HP dishes had good amounts of meats and veggies, & the broths had enough flavor to match their dish names. As for drinks, we just got the standard Taro & Jasmine Milk Teas ($6.29 per drink). Even though they’re standard, the milk teas still tasted good.

Overall, we would come back to this Tasty Pot if we’re ever around the area again! We need more places like this one in an area so scarce of actual good quality Asian places.

Came here for my birthday to try them out!

You walk in the door and are hit in the nose by the smell of delicious food. Greeted and sat immediately. We started with the fried gyoza. It came out super quick and super hot!! Didn't come with any sauce (but you do have a few sauces on the table in a pretty display, no soy sauce though) 6 small peices for $8 seemed a bit steep. They have about 12 main hot pot dishes that ranged from around $18 to $22 and the higher priced ones also said "large pot" on the menu and they also have a wide variety of add ons and teas.

But we were there for the hot pot!! I got the #1 which was beef and mild spice with ramen and my boyfriend tried the curry pot with the highest spice also with ramen. Our sever was very young and sweet but spoke so low my date didn't hear that udon noodles were an option.

Also not a long wait for the main dishes to come out, served by someone else. Our drinks were refilled by the host, not our sever. The food came out BUBBLING HOT and oh so pretty!!! So many textures and flavors! The decor of the place is cutesy but the food is so elegant and rich! They kind of don't match really but I'll never complain about a beautifully prepared dish! So the hot pots....go try them. They are so fragrant and flavorful. Not the kind of dish most people could whip up at home. So many ingredients. So much detail on presentation.

I will note that my mild dish and his super spicy curry both tasted mild. And my only real compliant is our server took our order and we never saw her again until she brought the check that we waited 15-20 minutes for after we were finished eating and there were no FOH staff on the dining floor to ask about getting our check.

But to the nitty gritty, this place is super new, super clean, and even though the service wasn't the absolute best we will DEFINITELY be back to try another absolutely wonderful hot pot dinner. Just check out their menu. Your mouth will water.

I got the beef hot pot and it was really good! It was enough for me and my wife to share and both get full (we both get full easily though) which is good since it costs about $20 per bowl, not counting tip. The soup and all of the stuff in it was really tasty and the condiments they had on the table were all very good and all added a very different flavor to the mix.

The menu is pulled up via QR code and you can order from your phone and add to your order as you are eating. You can also pay and tip via your phone as well. I found it very convenient and simple.

The only complaint I had was the mussels were really gritty and when we got to the bottom of the bowl it was inedible due to the grit settling in the soup. To be fair though we both still got full and it is the soft opening so they are still working out the kinks. I did let the waitress know so they can hopefully correct it moving forward.

All in all, I definitely recommend giving it a try!

    Follow up:
We went a second time and got the curry hot pot and it was DELICIOUS. I liked the beef one but the curry one blew it out of the water. They were super busy this time and the wait was pretty long but still most definitely worth the price and the wait.

Finally a new dining experience to enjoy on the coast. Seems like every restaurant that opens is just a different option of another place.
They just opened yesterday and were busy when we went. They are still working things out for a new restaurant but we had a great experience. Service was good for how busy they were, food was good (all four of us enjoyed our hot pot) the flavors drinks were very good in my opinion. If you are looking for something different than the usual seafood, steak, wings, burger places that are everywhere give them a try. I think you'll like it.

I first noticed that all the hot pots were pre-mixed so choosing was made easy. I ordered the fried pork intestines and stinky Tofo. I couldn’t decide which I liked better, both had their own unique taste. The Tom Yum was a cauldron bubbling with a savory broth that practically waters your mouth as the steam dissipates in your face. The pot consist of various vegetables and seafood and the famous sour taste of the Thai soup. I also added in the pork blood cake, highly recommend. The owner Huy came and greet us which made the experience so much more enjoyable. Overall 5 🌟 everyday of the week.
