I've never been here before but, some of my co-workers come here often and suggested as a great place to go to. The place has pretty cool decorations and the waitress was friendly.

The smoked tuna was good but could have been better but, whoever seasoned it was alittle heavy handed with the salt.

I ordered the Pig Mac which was a burger topped with bbq pulled pork, pickles and mayo. It was very delicious and definitely full of flavor! I ordered a side of fries with it which was fresh and hot but, again someone was heavy handed with the salt.

My wife ordered the catfish plate with a side of their house made chips. The fried catfish itself was crispy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. But, again the chips were heavily seasoned with salt.

All in all the lunch was good other then salty smoked tuna dip, fries and chips.

I had lunch here once and have also done their meal plans for a couple weeks. The lunch we had there was good. We enjoyed the choices we had for the meal plans when we did that too.

We stopped by Savory Roots for lunch on our way back home from New Orleans. The food was so good, and the service was great and they were very friendly. They do a lot of carryout for lunch, but they made us feel at home. Ask if they have the blueberry Bread Pudding when you go.....You will thank me. I'm looking forward to our next trip to NOLA so we can stop again.

Do yourself a favor and take the slight detour off I-10 to have lunch at this cute spot. Chicken fried steak had a spicy touch under the crunch, and the blueberry bread pudding with a Limoncello sauce was dessert perfection!

Awesome, awesome, awesome. The food is delicious and the wait staff were very attentive and cordial. We had the friend green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, and bread pudding. YUMMY ?
