I just love the texture of these donuts. You know how with a perfect french fry, it feels slightly crispy on the outer layer and chewy and soft on the inside? That’s how I feel these donuts are and enjoy the flavors too.

The only real donut!! Hands down the best donuts on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!! The Persians are my all-time favorite, though you really can't go wrong with any of their donuts. On this day, I got a Persian and a Katrina Plank. The Persian is a delicately glazed cinnamon roll. The Katrina Plank is an eclair shaped donut with a touch of cinnamon drenched in thick, delicious chocolate. My sweet hubby got two glazed cake donuts, Devils Food and Blueberry. Our total was right at $5. The people who work there are always so kind and happy. Of course, how could you not be happy working in an amazingly yummy donut place. We highly recommend Tato Nut!!

These donuts do not really seem different from "normal" doughnuts. The cake was a little more moist than most other cake style I've had. Everything was tasty and priced well. We got the Persian, the Katrina piece, the chocolate iced tator nut, the Bavarian cream filled and two of each type of donut holes (blueberry cake and regular).

Ok, I had to try. Even thought it was 1.5 hour drive because everyone raves about their donut. Well…. They are right. They are good! The texture is so perfect and fluffy but then little chewy. Anyway, it was worth a drive!!
