Sammy's Gourmet Deli & Gyro

My new favorite Philly cheesesteak in town! Amazing flavor, plenty of meat, and the perfect amount of veggies and cheese. Absolutely great value for the price too. The man who took my order was very nice and the food was ready fast. Got my boyfriend a roast beef sandwich as well, he ate it a few hours later and said it still was great. We will definitely be back!

One of the best Gyro and Philly steak sandwich that I’ve ever had! Sammy’s is destined to become an Oxford favorite! Keep up the great work, Sammy, and sons!

Four stars based solely on the taste of the food. The food tasted good. Not a great presentation for pictures though. They have only two tables for in house dining. 1 person was preparing food for people who were standing around waiting (since there’s no waiting seats) to get their food so somewhat slow service for the type of place it is. I’m always glad to have a new place to get food in oxford, but definitely room for improvement as they grow into their new place. Two things I would recommend doing immediately: remove the microwave. Never heat up food for customers/in front of customers in a microwave! Add somewhere for people to sit while waiting.

This place opened 5 days ago, and we had a great experience. Kind folks, good and straight forward food. I’m eager to see a small deli like this take off. (P.s. gyro meat on rice is hard to photograph, so apologies there)
