“PHENOMENAL! I don't even have the words to attempt to describe how absolutely incredible EVERYTHING tasted that our family ordered. Kids said the pizza was the best they've ever had (We were 8 1/2 hours from home and they said they'd move just to eat here!) The home made flan was hands down the best I've ever had. My husband and I were both blown away by our delicious meals-and I'm a foodie who happens to also be gluten free. I have dried food about 1-2 times a year...I had fried selections from their menu and felt great after-no ill affect whatsoever. Photo is a platter where you can try several selections. I can't remember all the names but hubby had #31 after a recommendation by the waiter, which he completely enjoyed. We also ordered a couple papusas based on other reviews, and they were so good! I had a full to-go box for leftovers and am excited to enjoy all these unique tasty foods for lunch tomorrow! Price was less than expected and we'll worth the value we received! The staff is superior! Very good service-extremely attentive! Owner Rosie was so kind by answering menu questions over the phone and helping me order to avoid gluten. She was on point with her knowledge and it was a JOY visiting this establishment. Family owned "hole in the wall" that is beyond a gem. We LOVED everything about this experience!”

“Ordered catfish plate with fries and cold slaw. Fish was hot and delicious, but very small portions. Coleslaw was delicious but small portion, side cup was only half full. Hush puppies were delicious, some of the best I have ever had! Fries were soggy and disappointing. Friendly service, extra star for that! If you go there, keep in mind one fish portion is two or three bites, about 2 ounces each.”

“Great food and atmosphere: GO TO NEW'S. We started at Cracker Barrel: 45 minute wait with only about a third of the dining area occupied. My guess is gift shop sales are down and what better way to boost that than by forcing people to linger in the hall of kitsch while they wait to be seated. A quick search on Google led us to New's. After driving through neighborhoods that looked like sets from the movie "The Help", we found it. The parking lot was full, especially considering it was a Thursday night which was a very good sign. We walked in and were told to pick an open table and Katie would be with us in a minute. The menu was full of southern delicacies like turnip greens, sweet potato casserole, rice and gravy, baked chicken, hamburger steak, steamed cabbage, cornbread... And the prices were great. In summation, the food was out quickly and was great. Katie was a outstanding waitress - she kept our water and sweet tea glasses full and was fun to visit with. If you're passing through Meridian, drive past the chains and head to New's. The drive will be a fraction of the wait at the chains and you will enjoy and remember the experience.”

“My first visit at this location in Meridian Ms. when I walked in the front door I was immediately greeted with a hello and welcome to Mugshots. The atmosphere was cozy and it had a cozy cabin look and feeling. My wife and a friend were with me. The waitress greeted us with a hello and a big smile. As we were trying to make our decision on what order she nicely suggested a few items to try. Once food arrived to our table I was totally amazed at the portion size and the professional preparation that went into it. The flavors were incredible and greasy. We definitely got more than our money’s worth. I highly recommend this Restaurant on any day to any one. You will not be disappointed. I give this Restaurant a 100 plus a 100 score.
