We loved our meals. We purchased the sampler platter. honey this was the best birthday meal entire state of Mississippi! The couple who owns this place definitely cooks with love! Customer service was great and the food definitely something to talk about with a smile and full stomach! Thanks for your wonderful food and service. Be blessed

Excellent food. Jerk chicken and curry chicken were excellent. Corn bread has their own unique spin to it. Very friendly owners. I don’t know why there is a line around Taco Bell when this is right next door. Check it out.

the food ? EVEN BETTER . i got the curry chicken , the seasoning is on point !! the mac&cheese is to die for 😩😩 & the sweet cornbread just melts in your
mouth ! I was looking around , and it’s some interesting Jamaican history.. which i find so cool. I love this restaurant . it’s worth more than the $8 i paid !! EVEN THE KIDS LOVE IT !!🥰🥰

Big up🇯🇲Bless up 🙏! I just have to tell you about this place Simma Down. My sweet neighbors the Johnsons told us about this quaint little spot and we couldn’t wait to get there. They were so sweet and brought us backs the jerk chicken, rice and peas, slaw, baked mac and the chicken pasta. Big up to my sweet neighbors. Well everything was absolutely well seasoned and very flavorful. My absolute favorite was the chicken pasta. So today, the hubby and I took the hour and half drive from Madison, MS to Philadelphia. It was such a cool peaceful ride. Jennifer was at the counter taking orders and Baker was in the back doing what he does best, stirring it up. She greeted up pleasantly and even knew who we were because our neighbors told her we were coming. I ordered the turkey neck (which looks like oxtail), rice and peas and baked mac. Hubby got curry chicken rice and peas, cabbage and cornbread. Well, every thing was absolutely delicious and yummy! We sat and talked for a long while with Baker and Jennifer. Wonderful people. I urge you, please Madison, Ridgeland, Jackson, take the short ride to Simma Down in Philadelphia and visit this spot. You will not regret the ride, and you will enjoy the delicious foods. At least once a week I stop and pick up my food that's been ordered. Their food and service is amazing. I get happy on the way home because I know the food is good and they give you nice size portions. So many times I planned on cooking and changed my mind when their food came across my mind. Last week was the first time I ordered food for my kids and they loved it. I think I messed up doing that lol because they didn't leave nothing behind but happy plates. The atmosphere inside is so warm , inviting , and you are greeted soon as you walk in. Being a Chef I can appreciate the way they operate their business and these a few reasons why I choose five stars. Try them out you won't be disappointed
