Umi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

Great sushi restaurant. Fast service and food came out quick. Sushi was delicious and fresh as was the miso soup.

I don't know who has been working receptionist or answering the phone but they're terrible at answering the phone and multitasking. Forget placing an order for pick up over the phone. You'll get put on hold and hung up on repeatedly or she will pick up the phone to answer and not say anything, and just hang up on you. Unless Raena (sp?) is working that day, you won't be getting an order through over the phone. Raena is great at her job and will make sure you're taken care of.

The sushi is wonderful and the tempura is very good as well. Our server was excellent and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is clean and well decorated and I will be eating there again.

This place depends greatly on preferences and what do you order. If you like great sushi, the sushi box the offer is your to go option, a variety of fish and a lot of delicious rice with it.
The hibachi option is another story though, it is my personal favorite, it's a hearty meal with quite the show to go with it, and a great variety of meat choices.
The staff there is super nice and helpful, they are willing to accommodate the customers as much as possible. Plus the prices are fairly reasonable for the service and food.
And if you want to try the hibachi go during lunchtime "IT'S CHEAPER THAN DINNER".
I love this place for medium to big crowds.

I called and placed a to-go order around 6:30. She already knew my name and told me it’d be ready in about 20 minutes. I showed up 20 min later and I patiently waited to pay. Food was ready before I got there. The ladies working up front was very polite and efficient. Keep up the good work!
