We hosted a party at Mcclain's this weekend and it could not have been better! The food, service, location were amazing and we enjoyed it all! The shops and the animals were an added bonus! The safari tour was some of the most fun we have had in a long time with the zebra and llama wanting to become our friends ! The otters were adorable and we fed them multiple times. The lemurs and safari gift shop were a great experience also. Highly recommend!!!
This McClain resort offers a lunch buffet, a dinner steakhouse, a general store, and an animal safari. Plenty of rocking chairs out front.
The steakhouse serves delicious steak, lamb, and fish. High quality meal with excellent presentation.
The safari is fun for kids and adults. You can buy cups of food to feed the animals along the way. Watch out for the greedy ones that try to stick their head in your window. There is also a petting zoo area. You can also rent a jeep.
It was our first visit. We had an awesome time. 16yo and 7 yo kids toured the free petting zoo and we drove our Honda Accord thru the $15 each safari. It was worth the car wash and vacuuming afterwards. We paid an extra $3 to feed the otters and an extra $3 to feed the animals in the petting zoo. We didn't see the otters, so they gave the minnows to the ducks. They ❤ed every minute. Oh and the food was delicious. I went back for seconds on the Mac and Cheese. I am a pescatarian and was pleased 😊 .
Steakhouse was excellent. Good service from Andrew and meal was ranked about the best around. The filet was top Notch with sauted mushrooms and loaded baked potato. The bread pudding was killer and priced right. Reasonable meal for what you get. Make a reservation and try it out.
This was our 1st time ever coming to this resort. We really enjoyed ourselves. This is the home of "piescream" according to the manager. The food was really tasty and affordable. There was a little something for everyone. The resort grounds are very nice. The kids enjoyed the free petting zoo and feeding the animals carrots. We also took advantage of the half price Wednesday Safari ride special. We had a blast and I love the fact that each person's admission ticket comes with food for the animals. Our cousin holiday playdate was a hit. This resort is highly recommended.
