I was in the area at lunchtime and decided to give it a try, because the reviews here talked about how great the ribs are. I ordered the rib plate with baked beans and potato wedges. They were out of potato wedges, so I substituted potato casserole.

The potato casserole was definitely the highlight of the meal, and the beans were nothing to write home about, but the ribs were undercooked. I cook ribs at least every other week, and the only time I've ever had them come out this chewy was when I didn't start early enough and was forced to pull them before they were ready.

Staff was friendly. I ordered the BBQ Beef sandwich, as this is one of the very few BBQ places left that still serves "pulled/chopped beef". Most places that offer BBQ beef generally serve it a la "sliced brisket". Which is the easy way to do it. "Pulled" or "Chopped" BBQ beef takes longer to prepare, but the texture is much better IMHO than sliced brisket, and so is the flavor. The meat itself I give an A+. The bun unfortunately was flat and nothing to write home about, C-. The BBQ sauce was flavorful, robust, thick and a bit tomatoey. Not really sweet at all though, which surprised me because most thick BBQ sauces are quite sweet. A little tangy, and smoky. All around I'd say it was a pretty good sauce, a solid B+. I didn't get any sides, so I can't rate those. Will try next time.
