Every morning i see a worker named Steven, he has a great personality. He always looks happy to work. He is a prime example of how all workers should be. “Oh.. My.. Goodness!! This is the most awesome place! I had gone there several times over the last year and a half for the rolled ice cream. I always had such a great experience. Then I went by several times when I would be in Flowood, but it had been closed. I just figured it had closed down due to the virus. Tonight we were in Flowood and after we went to eat I asked my husband to take me there to see if it was open. We rode by and the lights were out. My husband needed to go on to Academy and I sat in the car. While I was sitting there I decided I would just google and see what had happened. Well, low and behold, it said it was open. When my husband returned to the car if told him and we decided to go back by. The lights just happened to be on. We got out and went to the door. I could see a young man in the back of the store, so I knocked. He made a hand motion that they were closed. When he saw my sad face he came to the door, opened it and explained why they were closed. The power had been out and they were there restocking things and training a new hire. My husband said we had traveled 90 miles and immediately he welcomed us in. He made our ice cream and offered us to sit and take our time. My husband went to pay and he said oh no, driving 90 miles is payment enough!! I thought the least I could do would be to write a review for them. Thank you so much for your kindness and know We will be back soon and often!!!”

“Great food and service with a smile! I had the shrimp po boy and my boyfriend had the steak sandwich. Both were delicious. The pasta salad and coleslaw were made fresh and the coleslaw is better than any I have ever tasted! Lightly sweet with a creamy texture, so good! This is the first time I've been to Newk's but not the last. The associates were so nice and seemed genuinely happy to be there. When customer service seems to have gone by the wayside, this was a pleasant experience.”

“Initially I didn't have my hotcakes in my big breakfast (I changed my order at the last minute, it happens. We all make mistakes). We went at opening a d were seated immediately. has always been crowded on past attempts, but stomach wont wait over 15 minutes so this is why I haven't dined here in the past. I ordered the lasagna and it was wonderful! Service was great and plenty of hand sanitizer available for safety. Will make a repeat lunch date to avoid the wait. They also have curbside dining too.”

I had a waiter that was super sweet but I can't remember the gentleman's name but he put smiles on our faces and of course the wings were Dynamite! “This place has great food, especially if you could get while still hot. We waited 45 minutes for our food. It's crowded here, usually loud customers and the place isn't very big, if pretty day I suggest eating in outdoor seating. The staff is friendly but they do not explain menu options to people very well. They clean the tables fairly quickly. Once again the food is good, tea is the best, but crowded there so be ready to wait”

“We went to get a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving. I chose them because we used to go to Dickey's in Texas and it was always good. Today though, this store must of been off their game. The ribs were great!! The brisket wasn't very flavorful so I used barbeque sauce on it and the original seemed to have a lot of vinegar in it as well as did the green beans. The baked potato casserole was good and so were the fried okra. The ice cream wasn't frozen enough even for soft serve. I just pray the turkey is good. We didn't interact very much with the workers.”
