Atami Japanese Grill

Sushi was delicious! The price was absolutely right! The service wasn’t bad. I have to say though, the lights above the tables flashed the entire time. It was every booth not just ours. It can’t be on purpose but it’s definitely noticeable. I would hate to be under that light all day.

I have no idea how this place wasnt packed when I went! Some of the best sushi I've ever had and the menu had price options from low to a little higher. I splurged on something more expensive and it was very much worth it. Large portion and absolutely delicious. Plus, the staff were very nice. Pic is after I ate a few bites, couldn't resist.

The sweet and sour chicken with soup, salad, and rice for 11$ is an awesome deal and tasted great, but the sauce that comes with the chicken was not very great. It was a good thing I bought other sauce for it. The hurricane roll was alright, but not worth the price.

I visited for the first time on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately. Love the ambience of the place. I felt confident about the service and food we were going to have and I was right -- Started with a California roll of sushi. Fantastic! For my main course, Hibachi steak and rice with a side salad and clear soup. I was so surprised at how much food came with the entree. An absurd amount of steak and rice. I was hungry and could only eat half. (they have boxes to take away your leftovers) It was so good! Our waiter was fantastic. The environment was wonderful for quiet conversation. Atami Japanese Grill is a treasure to Vicksburg and I will eat there again every chance I get!

Good place for sushi in Vicksburg MS. Love dining in because of good customer service. Recommend changing out the color lights above the tables. Colored lights can sometimes put people in a bad mood, hurt their eyes when they strain to read the menus. And put their company in a different light, sometimes not a good thing.
