RUDE SERVICES!! I Did not get the man's name, but he didn't greet me, didn't ask what my order was when I drove up, didn't ask me if I needed any sauce and didn't say thank you. What is customer service if you don't do any of these things? Then to add, we were in line for a very long time waiting on our meal. After I got it, he closed the window. I waited for him to open it back up so I could ask for sauce but he didn't. I had to blow my horn TWICE. When I asked him was he new, he said "Nowal, I'm old", he then adds he's usually in the kitchen. He was very rude. Mumbled something under his breath and cut me off while I was talking. Just horrible service.
Captain D’s is what it is and has been what it has been since I first started eating here in the 90s. The food is consistently average. I prefer the battered fish, but the fried catfish and country style fish are good as well. Typically, it’s fried too soft so I request that it’s fried crispy. The fried meals come with hush puppies but you can substitute for a breadstick (which is the most delicious breadstick I’ve ever tasted). I highly recommend trying the sweet tea. It’s perfect and also one of the best I’ve had. My only complaint here is that occasionally the fries and okra taste like the fish. I’m assuming that’s because they’re all being fried in the same grease.
