Great food, fantastic service! Wonderful old fashioned meal simple and tasty. Go for the food and the service. Tastes like grandma is in the kitchen.
Love this place so much!!! Atmosphere feels so homey! I highly recommend it!!! (Get their fried chicken and their cheesecake????)
Best place ever for fried chicken and ham! I highly recommend it! Love this place!
Truly unique... family owned and operated. You gotta try this place ..you won't regret it.... wonderful
We knew we wanted to bike from the Katy Trail head in Jeff to this place. Once we got there we were told that they didn’t accept credit. We started to turn away but the lady said, “No wait! We want you to eat here!” I told her that I had $7 cash on me and she said, “Eat what you want and just mail us a check.” We ended up getting a milk for our son, then I had the honey ice cream and my wife had the blackberry cobbler with ice cream. Oh man, we’re they good. That cobbler was maybe the best we’ve ever had and the honey ice cream was fantastic by its own right. The bill was $7.15 and we had $7 lol. She just said don’t worry about it. Now think about that. Sure it’s a tiny amount of money but they were willing to accept check by mail because they WANTED us to eat there. That is hospitality that big restaurants will not give nor want to give. If you come up short there is another customer in line behind you that will have all of the money.
This place has definitely gained our repeat business. We will be back with cash in hand ready to come in off the trail and enjoy the hospitality again!
If you’ve made it this far and are just skimming through reviews, stop now and go give this place your business. You won’t regret it!
Note: We are not poor people, we just didn’t think to bring cash on us as we rode the Katy Trail :)
