El Rancho

El Rancho is the single greatest Mexican food spot on the planet. If I could sacrifice my first born child for a sloppy box of their chicken fajita nachos at 2 AM, I wouldn’t even think twice about it. I would probably even throw my second born kid and mother in the mix if they gave me extra meat and queso. Speaking of their queso, I had to go to rehab in Florida for 6 months after graduating to try and cope with the sudden absence of their golden cheesy liquid in my life. I was legitimately having withdrawals. Icouldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat or even blink without thinking about it. If you want genuine happiness in a styrofoam box in Columbia Missouri there is no reason to go anywhere else besides El Rancho, and I will personally fight anyone who disagrees with me!

I work in the area, so I eat there at least once a week. The menu is so appealing and they have fast service with a smile. I grab lunch there so often, they know what I will order before I say anything. The nachos and enchillada's are the best thing on the menu. Don't mind people who knock this place as drunk food only. It's a great spot loved by generations of locals, the staff are warm, friendly, quick and wonderful. Portions are great (both lunch and dinner). Especially appreciative when they are generous with the queso. Love it here!
