Grand Cru

Grand Cru is a comforting mix of fine dining and home cooking. I thoroughly enjoyed my trout with butter dill sauce and the garlic masher was delicious. Wine list is mostly California. The ambience is more fine dining, but I appreciated the Mizzou touches.

Might be the best wine list and selection of scotches and whiskeys between STL and KCMO. Food service is a bit lacking. An ego trip for owners and the cigar smokers.

Morton's this is not!

A little disappointed by the underwhelming taste of the food. The Lobster Mac and Cheese had barely any lobster in it and the Salmon that was ordered was overcooked. We were also disappointed with the brussel sprout strips which were practically nonexistent and overcooked as well.

Maybe it was just a bad night for the Chef and staff.

The drinks however were on point! The bartender was extremely good in making our cocktails and we had to order another round for indulgence sakes!

Curiouser and curiouser. Perhaps the strangest dining experience in ages. I imagine the Eagles we’re under a similar influence when writing meal California. Be that as it may I had a lovely meal, if not an outstanding meal

Beautifully cooked trout, a gorgeous side of asparagus, my partner had the salmon (exceptional), and we split a the bread pudding (divine). The wine (by the glass) list is lackluster but the bottle offerings were impressive. Tremendous collection of liquor. Great service. Will certainly return.

Strange vibes were mostly in me: I rarely eat at steak houses, especially those feeling straight out of Victorian New England of the 20’s ?

My husband and I travel the world for my work/job. We eat a lot of different foods, and we prefer fine dining. This food was incredibly well done and spot on.

Price is great, romantic environment.

What matters most though, the food is amazing. Staff also amazing. Thanks Grand Cru!
