“Update: since my original review I’ve come back a few times and tried in total more than 10 dishes. I’m glad to say all of them are either very good or good enough (I don’t quite like the double cooked pork). This is more consistent than most of the restaurants I’ve ever been to. They’re all very good at a few but terrible at the rest. This restaurant is such a gem. The food is really really good. It’s on the super spicy end so we asked for spicy level 1/5 only. The prev time I ordered a takeout from here (crispy intestine, highly recommended) I didn’t mention spicy level so while it was delicious it was also very hot. We ordered braised pork as a safe choice but was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it is, with some special subtle flavor in it. The eggplant was super soft inside but the outside still looked perfectly intact. The dandan noodle is good. I love the spicy beef appetizer. Everything’s so good, the portion is huge, the owner is also very nice and prompt. 4 dishes with 2 rice bowls, all come down to only $53 (not including tips)!!!!”

“My Dad came into town, and while we normally visit Krustaceans Seafood, they happened to be closed, so we tried out this spot. The meal was pretty tasty. However, the service was not as helpful as we would have expected. We were having some problems understanding how the combo or meal choices worked. The server seemed not to have the patience to explain or perhaps the understanding that we didn't understand the menu like he did. Overall, it was a good experience, yet I'd definitely go to Krustaceans first. Their seasoning and service is amazing! Oh, drinks were nothing to write home about, yet to be expected for the environment and sweet potato fries were not the greatest. On the other hand, their kids' chicken nuggets were pretty delicious. The boil was good, I wish their were more potatoes. However, I wasn't impressed with the taste of the sausage! The boil had plenty of shrimp, not as many crab legs as I would have anticipated. 🦀 (I actually reheated the meal the next day, and it was still pretty tasty!) Would I go back? Likely only if Krustaceans was closed. I'd give them an 8 out of 10 overall.”

“Called ahead to ask if they could accommodate gluten free but was unable to get them to understand what I was asking. Went to the restaurant and asked if they could make gluten free, they said they could without the pita bread. I ordered the chicken kabob with rice, my mom got the beef kabob with rice. I really liked the yellow spiced rice, it was very flavorful and soft. The chicken was a little too dry for me, (I have dysphagia- so it might be just me). My mom thought the rice was good, but the beef looked and tasted more like hamburger meat and didn't care for it.”

“The owner is super nice and helpful! He knew everyone who walked through the door and you can tell he cares so much about his customers. He helped me with something completely unrelated to alcohol without me even having to ask! I will absolutely be buying from this store!! I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!! “Every time I go to the farmers market I stop by their booth! The biscuits are delicious! It’s sort of amazing they can be so jam packed with ingredients and also be light and fluffy. “I don't understand the attraction for this place. They have the most limited menu of any eatery I've ever been to, and everything is fried. Option 1 is fried chicken strips. Save yourself some money and go buy bigger, meatier chicken strips at the grocery store.”

“So good! Everything is delicious and the staff is incredible. I can’t wait to go back. Order at the entrance then find a seat. Several long communal tables but also some 4 tops and a patio area. Staff will bring utensils and napkins and you can help yourself to the water station. It is very easy to order more bar drinks or food using the QR code if the line at the entrance is too long. Staff is constantly circling to clear plates or answer questions. We ordered tacos for the table, loved all of the meats and especially loved the house made tortillas, sweet potatoes and beets but everything was good. Drinks were great, too. I enjoyed a Paloma (or two). And don’t skip the mole brownie! If you are too full take one to go.”

“This location is fairly new. It is a beautiful building inside and out. I like the tiny touches like the hooks on the tables to hang your bags. The employees have always been very friendly and helpful. One issue is that when the drive-thru gets really backed up, it blocks the whole parking lot for those of us that want to run inside to pick up a mobile order. But overall, this is my favorite Starbucks in Columbia.”
