The Southerner

We were visiting my son who is a student at SEMO. My family looked at the menu on line & was impressed with the variety of selections. When we actually dined there the food was amazing & the service was awesome as well . Everyone ordered something different & we all were very satisfied. It was beyond our expectations!!

First off the food was great the wait staff were super helpful,now for the reason for the three stars. We made reservations the day before we showed up called and confirmed them day of when we arrived (on time btw) they had given our table to someone else so we had to wait for almost an hour and then we were seated in a hallway outside of the resteraunt (got to meet the nice young man who was taking out the trash in the hallway) they tried very little to make up for their mistakes by bringing out 2 appetizers of their choice not ours. For a First impression it was not good

The first time we have been here and we will definitely be back. The food was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was very nice. Prices were in the mid range.

Staff is amazing and the food has always been well above average. It's a sophisticated American fare that you can tell the kitchen is proud of.
