Pilot House Restaurant & Catering

Once we finally found a place to park, we went inside to get a table. Place was so packed, there was no seating. Not one employee came up to us to assist us in any way. Granted, they WERE very busy. The food must be pretty good... still want to try it!

A very small place inside, but service was awesome and all of the staff were attentive, awesome, and friendly. I had the catfish dinner and there was plenty of food for the money. If you don't like spicy don't opt for the seasoned fries. Way too spicy for me. Prices were reasonable. My only complaint was that seating was a bit undesirable as we had to share a table with strangers. Overall I would have to say I would definitely go back.

This is a fantastic spot to go to if you don’t like chain restaurants. Family run and very popular with the locals. Come early to be able to get a seat. The food is amazing! The service is Americana Small Town Perfect! The restrooms could use some updating. But who goes to a local gem for the crapper?

Great place to eat. Definitely not going to leave hungry! Good prices as well.

We wanted to try all the independent restaurants while in the Jackson area for a family event. We started here. I suspect the locals know what’s good here but we ordered a well done hamburger and Patti had the Philly steak sandwich. My pressed patty burger was cooked dead, just like I like it. Patti’s philly was cooked well done also and was dry and chewy. I tried it and it was bad. And I served 20 years in the military. Normally I’ll eat anything!

Service was average at best. Don’t expect to make casual conversation with the server. Or a check back to see if your order was to your liking.

Good luck to them. I sure nothing will change there.
