The pulled pork sandwich was very dry, and the brisket sandwich was dry also the BBQ sauce didn't help the sandwiches the meat was too dry.The BBQ baked beans were ok, i had better. The only thing that was really good was the Cole slaw. Probably won't go back.

Wonderful place in a small town. The recently remodeled interiors give it an unwelcoming vibe. Although if you weren’t made aware of the remodel it would be impossible to notice due to the old/second - hand dining room furniture. The restaurant has one giant room for seating and is prone to echo even the smallest whisper. Overall, food is what I went there for - and the food never disappoints.

From the moment you enter this restaurant the personel give you an agreeable feeling. Very congenial team, it is a lovely place to go out with buddies or with your date. Great cooking, specialist chief cook and stuff, honest pay and professional service. Warmly recommended.

Comfortable atmosphere, generous portions, and reasonable prices. Tasty BBQ. Wait staff was efficient. We would return.

Good BBQ with its own identity. Given the proximity to KC I guess I expected KC style BBQ but what we got was a more unique experience and a great surprise to boot. The dry-rub ribs were tender, a bit too tender as I like a bit of “pull” but the smoke and rub were terrific. The burnt ends and ham were good but the big happy surprise was the fried catfish. I honestly thought we were too far north for good catfish but the thick crunchy corn meal breading was as good as any we had in our time (15yrs) in Louisiana. The fried okra was very good also, someone knows the frier quite well. The only negatives to me were the sauces. The regular didn’t do much for me and the spicy, normally my go-to, was worse, all heat no flavor. Service was great, very nice people. The space is clean and almost too modern as a new remodel, while nice, is a bit sterile.
