I have to be honest: I found the food bland and uninspiring and surprisingly overpriced for what it was. Despite claiming to be an authentic family owned restaurant, it serves the same generic Americanized menu as so many other Mexican restaurants in the region, although I did find the addition of a few keto dishes a nice surprise (I tried one, and it was better than my dining partner’s enchilada/taco meal).
I might say it’s slightly better than El Charro (which it replaced), though that’s not a high bar. However, I’d pick La Cabaña just down the street over this any day of the week, so I’m curious as to why they’d open a mediocre place so close to another place that serves much better food.
I had the birria tacos and they were the best I ever had so far everything I ate here is good only the beans needed to add some salt but everything else is very tasty!
I’ve dined at many fine restaurants looking for real authentic Mexican cuisine. I have found it here at Sol De Mexico. If you can’t handle amazing flavors then don’t come here. But if you’re looking for something authentic and flavorful then you’re at the right place. I will be returning!!
First time visiting Sol De Mexico and I am very pleased. The food was tasty, service was quick and attentive and prices were fair considering inflation. I got the Cabo Enchilada plate for under $12.50 and enjoyed it very much. The only thing I think would be better is if they served filtered water. Overall, I give it 4.5 stars and will definitely be going back!
