Big Al's Subs

Really good, unlike Subway and the like. Hard Salami, pepperroni, etc on crusty italian bread with oil and vinegar. A real sub place. Recommend highly!

Been here a few times but honestly other sub shops like Jersey Mikes or Jimmy John's and Chicago Cheesesteak are much better other than being in Springfield. It's hard being original at this kind of food because they best thing they got going is their bread. Everything else just can't catch up. Great if you're pinched for options.

I really enjoy this place and like to come here when I am in town. The gobbler is very good, but the star of the show is the meatball sub. It is the best I’ve ever tasted and the sauce is to die for. The meatballs are tender and flavorful, I know I hear people talking about the food isn’t good, please try the subs over the pizza, you won’t regret it!
