Mudbug Cajun Po' Boys

Stopped by and got the special. Fish po boy with okra. Fantastic. Glad I found this place. Will make the drive again.

Fun place offering po boy sandwiches and sides, including red beans and rice, gumbo, and jambalaya. Generous portions and I left stuffed. It set a bit heavily on me which is why I rated at a 4. However, heartier appetites will appreciate. The onions on the KC Po Boy were outstanding.

What a great place! The gumbo (which I usually don't care for much) was fantastic! It tasted like they'd given it plenty of time to build flavor; it was sublime. I chose to try a locally flavored Po boy and tried the BBQ sandwich; it was great. I originally thought it was going to be a bit dry but after mixing up all of the ingredients it was moist and flavorful. The mixture of the meat, the slaw, onions, cheese, and tomatoes was great. I tried the fries which were really good but I now wished I'd went for the fried okra after reading other reviews...next time! To top it off the lady that took my order was super helpful and friendly. It's a simply designed place using the colors of Mardi Gras and also really clean which I appreciate.

Delicious! Really great quality food and customer service. We were even treated to some free samples of jambalaya. Will definitely be back!

Oh my goodness! If I only lived closer. Great po boy sandwiches. Innovative flavor combos. Great variety. Their truffle slaw is amazing.
