Best coffee in KC, skip the big chains and go here! The quality is addictive and once you have had coffee here. Even my husband, who is a bit picky, finally found a place with tea he loves!

Wonderful place!! Incredible, good, fresh coffee. The owners were so welcoming and kind to us, we got 2 drip coffees, cheddar bacon scone and their homemade cinnamon rolls! Everything was warm and delicious and exactly what we needed. Love love love! Can’t recommend more. Support local!! They roast their own coffee!

Lovely ladies working here that make amazing coffee! If you’re new they give you the rundown. I highly recommend trying their Valentine’s Day flavors/concoctions! I got their Dark Chocolate Cherry hot coffee. It’s a big roomy area and they have extra couch seating next door. Very comfy and enjoyable. Also they have a pretty good food selection (like breakfast wraps). I’ll definitely be back!

Stopped in to get some work done in a quiet setting. The cafe is beautiful and has art hung up all around! The coffee is roasted in Excelsior (super neat!) and tastes delicious. They have a menu with crazy flavors that I would have never thought to put in my coffee! I tried the Peach Cobbler Latte. Feels like I’m back in Brooklyn at an artsy little coffee shop & yet I didn’t even have to leave Excelsior!

I make a weekly stop at The Mug Coffeeshop or I start to have withdrawals. Lots of tasty treats, like this pound cake muffin, donuts, cookies, or scones! They have a large menu of both coffee, lemonade, and tea flavors that are delish! Great place to have a one on one meeting, friendly owners, and perfect atmosphere!
