Very clean and very nice and attentive servers. My wife and I had sushi. There is a sushi conveyor and hibachi as well. We will definitely be going back for both.

This sushi place is amazing. We love sushi, and get it often at other places around the Northland. But this is absolutely going to be a sushi staple in our diet.

As a chef I am very hard to please bu I have to say the did this little place right. Sushi Omakase is a restaurant I would expect to see in the city.
The decor is classy and clean. The appetizer we got was tempura shrimp. The batter was perfectly crisp and the shrimp was moist. We ordered six different types of sushi and I have to say one of the best sushi places I. KC Missouri.
I would highly recommend this little Gem to any foodie with a trained pallet or some o e just starting to eat sushi.
    Thank you chef Jerry

A Neat Place to Get Your Sushi or Hibachi Fix in the Northland.

Sushi Omakase gives you three choices on how to dine: Hibachi grill, sushi train, or the dining room. Each look great and would be a fun time and great dining experience. I LOVE sushi—can eat it for dinner every night and am not a big fan of Hibachi grills. I was with a big group of people, sat at the grill, and ordered a bunch of rolls—I know, perverse. The chef put on a good show, typical fanfare with bonfire flames, clanking utensils, and sizzling veggies and meat. But he missed my favorite part! The onion volcano—no biggie. He did spend a lot of time, and a lot of shrimp, popping them into the mouths of hungry patrons. He tossed about six of them, in a row, to one person and he caught the middle three in a row! All-in-all a fun time. As of this review, the restaurant is still new and has some opportunities for small tweaks. Our chef cooked each part of the entrees in sequence: rice, veggies, then meat. This led to the rice cooked well before the meat and by the time folks got the meat, the rice was cold and the veggies lukewarm. I recommend putting all the ingredients on the grill at the same time, multitasking the cooking, and getting the dishes put together at the same time. Everyone was happy and said the dishes were nicely flavored. As far as the sushi, I ordered a medley of cooked and raw salmon, tuna, and veggie rolls. They were all good and prepped nicely—the chefs take their time to make rolls that are packed with seafood and veggies, and hold their structure. One roll in particular, was one I never saw: the Fantasy Roll, rolled up with a cucumber! A really novel idea that created a light, crisp, and refreshing roll that was delicious. The only thing is you need dexterous skills with chopsticks, to which I do not. As the cut rolls are presented on their sides, you go to pick one up with chopsticks and the roll can come undone unless you have a Kung-Fu grip with the sticks. No big deal because it’s worth trying something new and unique.

Overall, Sushi Omakase is a good place to get Japanese food, including sushi. As of this review, they are new and need folks to give them a shot. The servers and manager care about their patrons and work to make sure all your dining needs and expectations are satisfied.
