I only tried the pulled pork sandwich but it was excellent, and better than Smokehouse' pulled pork across the street. I will definitely come back next time I'm craving bbq.

The food is AMAZING! You will not be disappointed! The fries are to die for, just ask them to fry them hard for the crispy effect.

    Exceptional barbecue and home-cooking.
    They have gluten-free fried chicken.
I tried one thing and just had to keep trying another. I started with the MacDiesel, mac and cheese topped with burnt ends...and they had BeanDiesel, and FrieDiesel!
I moved on to the sandwiches...sweet pulled pork, tender brisket, smoky burnt-ends, spicy sausage and southern-fried chicken. The fries were perfectly crispy. And then they offered the KC Greens...kale and collards cooked in the broth from the smoked turkey - such a surprise!
I have yet to try something that isn't just amazing. There's still more to try - chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, fried fish...

I had high expectations based on previous experiences at Wings Cafe, but WOW! This place is phenomenal BBQ, even for Kansas City. Meats were cooked about as perfectly as I have ever been served, with a hit of smokiness but not overwhelmingly so. Sides were on-point, especially the beans which I’d put up against any others in town. I hope they aren’t just paying extra attention to food quality during their opening, but given how their other restaurants have done I think this is a genuine contender.
