First time to DBS. Outstanding cheeseburgers! My friend ordered an 'Ol Classic double. I ordered a double patty melt, but got a double Sweet Heat instead. The mistake was fortuitous as the Sweet Heat was excellent. The onion rings were very good. There was no sweetener for the fresh brewed tea, but I mixed it with their fountain lemonade for an Arnold Palmer. Will definitely be back!
Pretty good burger and pretty cramped quarters at lunchtime.
There are only three tables for groups of three or more (but there are quite a few two tops).
The menu is a simple affair of burgers, a chicken sandwich and fries/rings.
Will return.
My wife recommended Danny's, and she was right. Their team prepared the juicy burger and freshly sauteed toppings right before me while I sat on a stool at their countertop. I strongly recommend the onion rings with the house sauce!
Great food. Fabulous and speedy service. Friendly staff. The DBS sauce is to die for, if you like Freddy's sauce or In-n-Out (California) sauce. We got one meal with onion rings and the other with fries.
It amazes me how there are creative people out there who can take simple, common ingredients and turn them into something that is memorable.
Let’s talk hamburgerlers!
Specifically, the hamburgerler known as Sweet Heat! Danny’s Burger Shack has this incredible concoction, along with other incredible looking concoctions, such as the Bruised Heifer and a Drunken rancher, just three that are listed on the menu.
Now they take a ¼ lb. patty of their special blend and sear it on the flat top, cover that with Cheddar cheese, add some field greens, caramelized onions, jalapeno jam, truffle Dijon and some bacon. They lay all of that between a fresh bun and shazam, an incredibly delicious hamburgerler is born!
When you bite into this treasure, the first thing I noticed was a hint of sweetness followed by the savory flavors of beef and cheese. Then there is the saltines and smoke of the bacon and the crunch of the greens. On the third bite I could start to get a hint of heat. That heat was warm, not fire hot, and added a lot of flavor. This is a very well balanced sandwich, there was nothing overpowering, and all the flavors work really well together.
This is not good! They are only three miles from where I live. I might need a new wardrobe!
Well Done Danny’s Burger Shack!
Well Done Indeed!
Dinner at DBS on a Friday night, life is good!
