Mel's Cafe

The service here is always top notch. I have only been here for breakfast but the menu is good and diverse. The food was delivered quickly and correctly while being delightfully tasty. It's my parents favorite place to eat breakfast in town and for good reason.

My husband and I arrived at 10 a.m. it was very busy. We waited approximately five minutes. This is the third time we’ve eaten here and have never been disappointed. The food and service were both exceptional. If you like good home cooking, this is the place to go. It’s a good thing we live 2 1/2 hours away. The prices are so reasonable, I could forget how to cook real quick.

Mel's is one of the few diners in America that make you feel at home. The staff is very friendly, the food is great, and the people dining there are also so nice. Its great to have such a long cherished restaurant like this place still running strong in Jeff City.

A true gem! I stopped by in the spring when visiting my parents. Back again a few months later and I must report this place has the BEST SERVICE of any restaurant I’ve ever visited. I was seated in the first 30 seconds, had coffee and ordered in the first minute or two. Every server was friendly, hospitable and attentive. I never had less than a half cup of coffee and water. The food was good and hot. I really wish I didn’t have to travel 800 miles to eat here. Jeff City you are blessed to have this place here. Well done Mel’s Cafe!

This restaurant was wonderful. This was our first time there and they were such wonderful people. The French toast was excellent!! I can’t wait to go here again. Wish there were more family owned places like this around. Will be back soon.
