Skippy's Route 66 Restaurant "Good Food For Good People"

Big Birthday party booked there and one of the owners acted totally put out because they were kept busy with the party people buying food and drinks. She got mad because they sold so much beer that it ran them low for the rest of the week. Also didn't tell them that they closed at 9pm till during the party. Charged full regular order prices for what the host paid for then got mad because they asked for go boxes to take remaining food home. My first and last time there.

A great, hometown bar. We got there just after a huge group showed up unannounced on a Sunday evening. The ONE waitress/bartender and the ONE cook did a great job of keeping up. The owner apologized in advance for the wait time due to this larger group. No problem for us - they have a pool table and a jukebox. We were entertained. The walleye and bacon cheeseburger were good. Even the chicken livers were good, and they can be hit or miss for me.

I spent 3 days in Leesburg at Ozark Outdoors for a relaxing/floating vacation. I had my dinners here each evening. Every meal was delicious and fresh. Stop in and see Skippy and Denise. They're good people!

Skippy greeted us at the door as if he knew us forever. Very friendly. Long Island tea was great and beer was cold. We had the Taco Salad social. It was delicious! Meat wasn't heavy and greasy like some places. We will definitely make a trip to come back.

We Love Skippy's! It is one of our fave go tos. The food never disappoints, great yummy daily specials. The fried chicken, gizzards, livers, and Walleye are some of the best around! Great pizza, wings, and nachos too! They're all so friendly, inviting, and attentive. Great with kids of all ages. Very warm, neat, clean, cozy atmosphere; definitely worth the stop!
