Ruthie’s Family Restaurant

After a very long drive to Osage Ambulance we were searching for a good place to stop and eat. Ruthie's was top notch. Without a doubt, this was the best meal that's ever crossed my lips. It's amazing how they not only offer a wide range of options but they managed to cook each entree to perfection. Their wait staff were extremely courteous and made us feel right at home. I would drive the 5 hours all over again just to sample more of their menu!

Delicious, reasonably priced food

The food is great. The service is good also. The cheese balls are so delicious. I can make a meal just on them alone. Oh and talk about dessert please save room for that because the cake we ate was so good although the slices are humungous. Coffee isn't bad neither. I can't wait to go back and eat some more. Oh if you're not a big eater and you are with someone it would be wise to share the proportions are humungous as well.

Staff was great! But don't go there expecting to get a good draft beer. Waitress didn't know what was on tap. Had a couple of better choices but the glass was colder than the beer, so that's not a priority. Food was decent and I could see the making of a chef in there but the food needs to be cleaned up. I had the steak fettuccine but it was more like soup. I picked out the steak and left the rest. I'm sure they had some better dishes I just didn't try them.

Enjoyed our meal and our server was prompt and attentive. The chicken fried steak was delicious along with the hot roll. My husband ordered the philly and said it was flavorful. Definitely try the cream puffs and carrot cake...delish! ?
