We were in town for the weekend and were told to try Fernweh. I’m glad we did. The food and atmosphere were excellent. My husband got the schnitzel and he said he loved it which never happens. I had the chicken club which was also good. I will be returning to Fernweh should we find ourselves in Hermann again.
Had great food and libations in a fun atmosphere here. Lots of different and interesting drink options. I recommend the Georgia Julep.
My husband and I went to Fernweh Distilling for dinner on Friday night. We both did the whiskey flight tastings, and we were impressed with all of the offerings. The Wildflower one was my absolute fav. The food was awesome. We started off with the soft pretzels appetizer with beer cheese and honey butter—they were the best pretzels I've ever had! (and I've had a lot)
My husband ordered the brisket with fries, and I had the brisket grilled cheese with fries. Both were excellent! The brisket was nice and smokey, and well-seasoned, but still moist. We will definitely return on our next visit to Hermann :-)
I wish I could give 10 stars and 2 thumbs up for this distillery/restaurant. From their specialty cocktails, brilliantly prepared dishes, and whiskey tastings to their beautifully restored building and loft, Fernweh has been a great experience for myself as well as my family! So much so that we celebrated my mother's 60th Birthday in September and their loft was the perfect location for the big Surprise!
Do yourself a favor and give Fernweh a try. You won't be disappointed!!
Hands down, this is the place to go for exceptional whiskey and distinctive cocktails. Every cocktail is hand crafted using unique ingredients. Each one is it's own experience and you will want to try EVERY one! The bartenders are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They have a full menu for lunch and dinner, but I have only sampled their appetizers...the pretzels and fried green beans are a must try though. Very welcoming atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating is available with views overlooking the Missouri river. If you're not familiar with whiskey, be sure to do a tasting. Just be aware, you'll likely leave with a bottle or two in hand.
Don't pass them up, their whiskey is absolutely worth "a shot".
